Meeting room or library

A small library

(for reading or meeting)

Discuss and agree - move on in your projects in concentration in the small library at Ibsens Hotel. We have even seen to arrange an old fashioned blackboard in the room (chalk in reception). Useful when an equation must be solved or notes taken when brainstorming.

Your living room

(share it with the locals)

At Ibsens Hotel you will also find a living room - very homey with a TV set, a fireplace and an old turntable from Würtz Radio. And naturally we have also a selection of old vinyls among which, you might find one of your favorite songs.

We recommend that you relax in a wing chair with a glass of fine wine, a book from the library or a friend or colleague.

We bought the wing chairs used and had them re-upholstered in order to fit in.

Safe deposit boxes

(for your values)

A Danish tv-series “Matador” (similar to the British tv-series “Upstairs, Downstairs”). inspired us to make something special of the safe deposit boxes. Not in the traditional way, but in a wealth of colours. We stacked a bunch of old safe-deposit boxes on top of each other, and asked the artist Sunny Asemota to help us give the boxes a colourful expression.

They are free to use for our guests. Practical if you need to leave your laptop or other values.

Street café and courtyard

At the street, we have placed café benches - a nice place to enjoy a cup of tea, weiss beer or perhaps just to observe street life, when the weather allows it. Nansensgade is the essence of the present trend "nordic cool", with its unique relaxed atmosphere.

In our courtyard behind the hotel a more secluded atmosphere prevails. The courtyard is shared with the hotels Italian restaurant, La Rocca, where dinner is served on white tablecloths in Summer.
Junior Suite at Ibsens Hotel in Copenhagen
At Ibsens Hotel you will find a range of amenities. Some are standard and expectable to find at a hotel and others are special for Ibsens Hotel. Ibsens Hotel is situated very centrally in Copenhagen and is part of a local neighbourhood - the Nansensgade area just behind Noerreport Station. Nansensgade is a hidden gem for foreigners, but a well-known spot for the Copenhageners. The inhabitants are "hip" in that special Copenhagen way, And designers and advertisers visit the area (if they don't live there) to seek inspiration. In Nansensgade are no international chains or brand stores, but a variety of small original designers, cafés, bike shops and great eateries that thrive shoulder to shoulder with art galleries and second-hand book shops.
